Manifesto Network of Youth for Global Sexual and Reproductive Health
We, committed to the promotion and defense of sexual and reproductive health in Spain and around the world, join with determination the Youth Network for Global Sexual and Reproductive Health. Recognizing the fundamental importance of these rights for the well-being and autonomy of all people, and understanding that we face numerous challenges to their full realization, we commit to work together to achieve positive and lasting change.
By joining forces, we enhance the capacity to generate positive and lasting changes that directly impact the well-being and autonomy of all people, especially the youngest. Collaboration within this space not only strengthens the voice of its members, but also creates a network of support and resources vital to addressing current and future sexual and reproductive health challenges in Spain.
Fundamental Principles
We believe in the equality, dignity, and universal human rights of all individuals, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, age, or any other characteristic.
Equitable Access
We defend equitable access to quality sexual and reproductive health services, including information, education, contraceptive methods, prenatal and postnatal care, and safe and legal abortion services.
Comprehensive Education
We advocate for comprehensive sexual education that is inclusive, accurate, scientific, free from prejudice, and accessible to all individuals, from childhood to adulthood.
Youth Empowerment
We promote the empowerment of young people to make informed and autonomous decisions about their sexual and reproductive health, as well as to actively participate in shaping policies and programs that affect them.
Social Justice
We commit to addressing structural inequalities and social determinants of health that disproportionately affect certain communities, including marginalized, discriminated against, or excluded individuals.
Global Collaboration
We recognize the importance of working in collaboration with organizations, governments, academic institutions, communities, and other stakeholders at the local, national, and international levels to promote sexual and reproductive health.
